Black and Orange Fondue
A Halloween-coloured treat where a selection of sweet, orange-coloured fruit is dipped into a dark and delectable bowl of melted chocolate.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: A few minutes
Makes: 4-6 servings
1 250 ml container whipping cream
6 oz. dark Belgian chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 oz. coffee liqueur
* segments, slices or cubes of orange fruit, such as oranges, cantaloupe, papaya and mango
Place the cream in a small pot and set over medium-high heat. Watch it carefully and when it almost comes to a boil, add the chocolate and liqueur and whisk until the chocolate is melted and well incorporated into the cream. Remove from heat, pour into a small fondue pot or heatproof bowl and set on a serving plate. Arrange the fruit around the pot or bowl. Hand your guests skewers and let them dunk away.
